Introduction to Space Environment & Its effect on Satellite Systems Online Course

Course Contents

Prerequisites:

Space Science Background , Satellite Missions

This course will provide an understanding of different aspects of the space environment, including space weather, how these impact on spacecraft design. Anyone with passion to working on space-related technology need a broad understanding of the space environment in order to design their spacecraft appropriately. This course focuses on the space environment surrounding the Earth containing the electrical and radiation effects on spacecraft performance. Prediction of the radiation effects on Satellite components will be investigated using numerical analysis tools. Accordingly, the methods for selecting tolerant satellite components will be presented. The environmental qualification testing needed for satellite will be shown.
